Sawston Newts defeated
|
In what looks like the last league game of the season, the second team were defeated by a good biggleswade outfit. We cant blame the defeat on the weather, or the fact that we only had 13 players. questions are however being asked about the Kit. It seems to have got a lot smaller recently.
Andy "the beast" East pictured above. Having struggled into the new skin tight kit - gasped "I cant run in this!!" - we'll it's been a while since any of us have seen that feat!!
Seriousely though, well played to all - there were a couple of missed tackles early on - but the rest of the oppositions points we're all scored from overlaps.
There were also some thundering tackles put in by Rene, James and Ben which left a victorious opposition in a lot of pain.
Congratulations to Justin for playing his first full game of the season and scoring his first Try.. The old timer still has a bit more life in him yet.
I'm not sure if there will be any more games this term but will keep you all posted.
The club dinner is the 10th of May and there are awards available. for those of you that wish to try and bribe me cheques should be made payable to Mr JR Tidswell.
Also well done to the ones this weekend who beat Letchworth.
